About
Marisja Verweij
I help organisations make change and improvement work in practice.
Since 2012, I have worked as an independent advisor and project manager on change, improvement and implementation initiatives across healthcare, education, non-profit, learning & development, corporate and international environments.
My work often starts when there are many ideas, plans or separate initiatives, but not enough structure, direction or alignment. I create overview, improve processes, set up practical ways of working and guide teams in translating plans into daily practice.
My expertise is centred around three main areas:
Project-based working
I help organisations create more grip on projects, programmes and portfolios. This can include setting up project management methods, governance, roles, decision-making, templates, dashboards, reporting structures and PMO-related processes.
Process improvement and quality
I analyse and improve processes, roles and workflows. I build on what is already there, involve the people who understand the work, and translate insights into clear, practical and sustainable processes. This also includes quality management, PDCA cycles, audits and continuous improvement.
Change and implementation
I support organisations in implementing new policies, systems, processes or ways of working. I bring structure to the implementation, involve stakeholders, support adoption and help teams turn plans into concrete routines, agreements and behaviour.
Style & background
I work in an advisory, hands-on projectmanagement and coaching roles, depending on what is needed. My style is analytical, practical and collaborative. I bring structure without making things unnecessarily complex, always with the aim of helping teams and organisations move forward independently. With a background in Business Administration and certifications in Organisational Psychology, Change Management, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma Yellow & Green Belt, Scrum Master and Gen-AI for Project Managers, I combine structured methods with a pragmatic approach that fits the organisation.
